A musical twist on every bend: thousands of top-quality internet radio stations can be received from all over the world. Four MINI stations are pre-tuned, with many more available via the rapid Search function, which enables you to search according to genre, location, name or the MINI Top Stations (the favourite stations of other MINI Connected users). And it's not restricted to your MINI cockpit, either: the MINI Connected iPhone App lets you compile a list of favourite stations for out-of-car listening, too.

News on tap: via the MINI Connected App on your iPhone, you can sign up for a seemingly endless number of RSS feeds for reports tailored to your individual wants and needs. And to let you concentrate on the road ahead, the news can even be read out loud to you (on condition your MINI is fitted with the optional voice control function).

Got a Twitter account? Just log-in using your iPhone and the MINI Connected App and then stay in the loop in your MINI wherever you are. Check out what's going on in your internet community by having your Tweets displayed on-screen or send some pre-defined messages when you're on the road about what's going on in and around your MINI − navigation destination, arrival time, outside temperature, that kind of thing − as safely and as comfortably as you like.

MINI Connected helps you to keep up to date with your Facebook friends. After logging-in with your iPhone and MINI Connected App, you can read your messages in the car display and also shoot off some messages from the list available – safely, easily and conveniently. And feel free to make liberal use of the Like button, of course.

Need a bite to eat? Running low on fuel? And where are you exactly? With Google™ Local Search, finding the address and telephone numbers of points of interest is no problem at all. You can then start route guidance by selecting the address (provided that the optional MINI navigation system is fitted) or make a call using the Bluetooth telephone and the number that appears in the display.

The easiest way to link up your MINI with Google Maps™. Simply select Google Maps™ on your iPhone, iPad or computer and send the destinations to your MINI. These destinations can then be called up and transferred to the MINI navigation system (available as an option) and the route guidance is started at the push of a button. Way to go!

The MINIMALISM analyser evaluates your driving style and how fuel-efficient you are behind the wheel. Journeys can be saved on your iPhone, so you can compare how much you've saved each time you drive. You can even see how your "green" rating shapes up against other members of the online communities (who knows, you may be the most fuel-efficient MINI driver in the world). And to help you to keep your fuel expenses down to a minimum, MINIMALISM tutorials are available for your iPhone as part of the MINI Connected App.

Turn your accelerator and brake pedals into a DJ mixing table − with specially created music that can be downloaded via the MINI Connected App. Put your foot down and the sounds speed up. Change down a gear and things chill out a bit. The steering wheel and indicators can also be used to vary the soundtrack to suit your current mood.

Enjoy all iPod music features, such as Genius Playlists and Apple iPod Out, from your iPhone on the in-car screen. Operation is simple and intuitive via the MINI Joystick.
